The Bible Says

Come Home, It Is Supper Time
From Our Pastors
George Bulgin, Senior Pastor
David Caman, Assistant Pastor
Small, informal and friendly--those phrases describe Gethsemane Seventh-day Adventist church. For example, during our "Praise Time", worshippers circulate freely greeting and speaking with each other. The praise time leads into intercessory prayer.
There are continuous opportunities during the service for fellowship and interaction. The end of the formal service does not denote the end of fellowship as a post-sermon lingering period is as important as the formal periods. During the post-sermon fellowship, members linger, and speak and share for another half hour.
Potluck Sabbaths are every first and third Sabbath where members linger and fellowship over a meal, contributed by church members and augmented by delightful vegetarian entrees. The focus of potluck times is the discussion of the noon hour sermon where visiting speakers may explain and extrapolate further on their message.
Fellowship returns on Wednesday evenings at prayer meeting times, and for some on Sunday mornings when the Community Services team shares a morning brunch with the community.
For those who return every other Tuesday, there is an opportunity to share with the community by distributing food bank items to more than 170 people each time. And who would forget our Thanksgiving special distribution to the community or the Care Packets so lovingly prepared by members for community persons.
